Winemaking: This wine is a Grenache, Syrah and Zinfandel rosé named after my daughter Haylee Rose. It just so happens that her favorite color is pink, and this wine is as bright and vivacious as she is! I brought the grapes into the winery early in the morning while still cold, and whole-cluster pressed them to extract the beautiful, light pink hue. The juice was then settled and fermented in neutral French oak barrels for over a month. I added sulfur dioxide to prevent malo-lactic fermentation and preserve the fresh fruit flavors and bright acidity. The wine was aged in the barrels for five months and bottled in late February of 2024, just in time to be released with this spring shipment. Beautiful aromas of freshly crushed strawberries, raspberries, watermelon and framboise jump from the glass while mouthwatering flavors of watermelon, strawberry, cranberry and crisp acidity refresh your palate.
