Winemaking: This wine is a Grenache, Syrah and Zinfandel rosé named after my daughter Haylee Rose. It just so happens that her favorite color is pink and this wine is as bright and vivacious as she! I brought the grapes into the winery early in the morning while still cold, and whole-cluster pressed them to extract the beautiful, light pink hue. The juice was then settled and fermented in neutral French oak barrels for over a month. I then added sulfur dioxide to prevent malo-lactic fermentation and preserve the fresh fruit flavors and bright acidity. The wine was aged in the barrels for five months and bottled in late February of 2020.
